First Visit Expectations

Below is an overview of what you can expect during your child’s first visit to Rio Grande Valley Children's Dentistry, P.A.

Let’s get to know each other

Your child’s first visit is not only about our team getting to know them, but also about you and your child getting to know our team. In the time we spend together, we encourage you and your child to ask questions, express any concerns, and share with us anything you want us to know to help make their care as individual as they are.

Part of getting to know your child and providing safe, personalized support involves reviewing their medical history. Certain medical conditions and medications and can influence treatment protocols – so you will be asked to provide a list of any medications and their dosages (including vitamins and supplements) that your child may be taking.

Once their entire exam and cleaning are complete, Dr. Moczygemba will talk with you about her findings. If any treatment is needed, you and Dr. Moczygemba can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your child’s dental and personal requirements. We can prioritize and stagger their treatments to give your child a smile they deserve in a timeframe you can afford.

Finally, we want you to know we will go above and beyond to make your child feel relaxed and safe. Not only is their physical comfort important to us, but their emotional comfort is as well.
